Developing Character Through Sporting Opportunies.
We believe that young people grow in character, social skills, cooperation and teamwork, pride, and self-esteem through involvement in sporting and cultural activities.
We also believe that such activities build a more positive, exciting and engaging environment for students to learn in, and that relationships built with staff outside the classroom can be very beneficial inside the classroom as well.
Central Southland College offers an enviable range of such activities. Indeed, we boast one of the highest rates of sporting participation in Southland schools, and our Stage Challenge and Major Musical Productions are annual highlights for many.
